Is there a better way to spend Mothers Day than with your children or grand-children?
New York is full of fun family activities and here are some special events for Mothers Day.
Mother’s Day Tea and Flower Workshop at the Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum in the Bronx.
Enjoy tea in the beautiful L’Orangerie and afterward make a traditional Victorian tussie mussie, which is a small bouquet arrangement of flowers.
When: Saturday, May 9th at 2pm

Free Concert in Central Park.
Did you ever play along to Peter & the Wolf? This Mothers Day you can give it a try.The concert is conducted by George Stelluto and narrated by Isaac Mizrahi. Members of the Vienna Philharmonic will be performing in the orchestra. They encourage you to Bring your own instruments and play along.
When: Sunday, May 10th, 2009, 1:30 p.m.

Mother’s Day Sing-along
Musician Lloyd Miller performs traditional songs as well as original music inspired by Prospect Park. You can also make ice cream the old-fashioned way and enjoy the results.
When: Sunday May 10th, 3pm
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park, Brooklyn

Mother’s Day Tea Celebration at Cupcake Kids
Make scones, tea sandwiches and of course, tea.
When: Saturday, May 9th, 10 am – 11:15 am
Where: STAND, 24 E12th Street (btw University Place & 5th Avenue)
Price: $70 per mother/child pair.
Brooklyn Children’s Museum has vocabulary-building poetry, stories, and word games for ages 7 and up and I Love My Mommy stories and songs for the younger kids.
When: Saturday May 9th from 1 pm.
Mother’s Day Beatles Brunch
New York City pop-rockers Bubble brings the music of the Beatles to a new generation. Enjoy their music to a Mother’s Day Brunch at Highline Ballroom.
When: May 10th from 12:30 (concert starts at 1:30)
Where: 431 W 16th St, between 9th and 10th Ave
