Dead Whale on Monmouth Beach

| No CommentNot a lot of people got a chance to see the Humpback whale that washed up on Monmouth Beach earlier this week. A whale on the beach is not uncommon in this area. Dead whales visit the Jersey shore a couple of times a year.
The Monmouth Beach whale was died from a boat strike but it is not uncommon that giant whales are killed by human trash. One 3-ton whale died on a beach after having swallowed a black plastic bag, a rope and a bottle cap.
