The Rose Bar at Gramercy Park Hotel.

Baby, it’s cold outside! Chilly weather and slushy snow might prevent some from enjoying nightlife, but head to these NYC bars with fireplaces and you’ll be rewarded with a toasty, romantic setting to get your drink on.

Gramercy Park Hotel’s Rose Bar: Featuring a rosy pink decor designed by artist  Julian Schabel, Rose Bar is the ultimate place to cozy up with a date or to impress a friend. The large, crackling fireplace adds drama to this already stunning space–just be sure to arrive in the early evening; later on this is a hotspot for the downtown crowd. 2 Lexington Ave.

Beekman Bar & Books: Cozy leather armchairs surrounded by bookshelves make for a civilized setting for sipping whiskey, brandy, or classic cocktails by the fire. The third bar in the Bar & Books chain, this one features a separate smoking room with its own air filtration, so you won’t be forced to inhale second-hand cigar smoke. Gents will want to wear a jacket, and leave the sneakers at home.  889 First Ave.

The Campbell Apartment: Transport yourself back to another era at this circa-1920s private salon of tycoon John W. Campbell located in Grand Central Terminal. The breathtaking interior features a massive stone fireplace, surrounded by plush red banquettes and club chairs under a 30-foot ceiling. Classic cocktails are in order here, and you’ll also want to meet the dress code–no T-shirts, jeans, or sneakers. 15 Vanderbilt Ave.

Camp: For something more low-key, head to the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn, where this cabin-inspired bar with a wood-burning fireplace will make you feel miles from Gotham City. S’mores, board games, and taxidermy on the walls add to the charm. 175 Smith St., Brooklyn.

The Dove Parlour: Although The Dove’s fireplace is actually filled with candles, its intimate, romantic atmosphere make it a cozy refuge in Greenwich Village. A few steps below street level, this gem of a cocktail lounge features red velvet wallpaper and plenty of Victorian-inspired banquettes where you can sip warm mulled wine. 228 Thompson St.
